Officer Dennis Stampfl

 

 

 

 

Patrol Officer Dennis Stampfl is currently assigned as the School Resource Officer for the Barnstable High School.  Dennis began his law enforcement career in 1997 when he joined the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office.  He worked as Reserve Police Officer for the Town of Chatham for two years in 2003 and 2004.  He joined to Barnstable Police Department in 2009. 

While working at Barnstable Police Department, he is a member of the CCIT Team (Community Crisis Intervention Training) which is a specialized training involving mental health and child developmental issues.  He is a member of the Barnstable Police Department Motorcycle Unit and Cape Cod Regional Motor Unit.  He was an Adopt a School Officer for the Barnstable Intermediate School for 7 years.  He is an ALICE instructor. He was also assigned as the cruiser officer and liaison.  He is a trainer for the Barnstable Police Department. 

He is married to Melissa who is a teacher at the Barnstable Intermediate School and a proud father of two daughters.  Officer Stampfl is committed to making a difference in the community as he is a coach for the youth football programs. Officer Stampfl embraces his position as School Resource Officer as he is committed with providing the courage in finding new ways to grow with the students, staff and himself.
