Sergeant Gene Desruisseaux

Sergeant Gene Desruisseaux has been with the Barnstable Police Department since 2004.  He is currently assigned as the Supervisor of the School Resource Officers and Adopt-A-School Officers, working out of the Barnstable High School.  In addition to his duties as the SRO Supervisor, he is the Centerville Elementary School’s Adopt-A-School Officer, RAD Kids Instructor, Health and Safety Officer, Designated infections Disease Control Officer, Motorcycle Officer, Mountain Bike Officer, and Firearms instructor.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Curry College as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Nichols College.  He also has a Master’s Degree in Criminal justice from Anna Maria College.
